Paralegal - Real Estate, Construction

The role

We have a great opportunity for a paralegal with previous experience to join our thriving and growing construction team that sits within our Real Estate department.  This is a fast-paced role that will give you real scope, exposure to quality work and the chance to develop and grow your expertise. You will work on and provide support across both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

 

Role responsibility

Supporting the team in;

  • Dealing with JCT contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties
  • Assisting fee earners with various matters spanning both contentious and non-contentious work for developers, project funders and other stakeholders in respect of commercial and residential development schemes
  • Contributing to the effectiveness of team work flow, including attending departmental and other appropriate briefings to assess current and future needs
  • Filing and file-keeping
  • Related administrative tasks

About you

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate;

  • Previous Paralegal experience in construction or a related area 
  • A genuine interest - and ideally experience/knowledge - of the construction industry​
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to enable efficient co-ordination of  work, meeting various deadlines
  • The ability to communicate with clients and other internal and external stakeholders in a helpful and efficient manner, responding to client queries where appropriate. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team 
  • The ability to interpret instructions correctly and act upon them. Sound judgement with the ability to use your own initiative and taking responsibility where necessary and appropriate
  • Good attention to detail, with a high standard of accuracy
  • Discretion and a sound understanding of client confidentiality
