The role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Recruitment Assistant to join us to support the recruitment team. You will work alongside the Recruitment Adviser and Senior Recruitment Manager to support the attraction and recruitment of new talent. The role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, who has a genuine interest in a career in recruitment. You can expect to be busy in this role and enjoy the feeling that you're contributing to the delivery of the firm's strategic goals.

Role responsibility

Working closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Adviser across all recruitment from Trainee to Partner level;

  • Acting as an initial point of contact for candidates, managing the recruitment mailboxes.
  • Maintaining the recruitment ATS (Applicant Tracking System) Tribepad, posting and managing vacancies, progressing candidates through the process, logging feedback etc. 
  • Direct recruitment of paralegal roles and some business support roles, including reviewing CVs and interviewing. 
  • Scheduling all candidate interviews - liaising with candidates, agencies and hiring managers.
  • Building relationships with third parties, such as recruitment agents, advertising providers, and university careers services, acting as an initial point of contact.
  • Drafting offer letters and contracts for successful candidates.
  • Supporting the administration of trainee recruitment including organising the logistics for trainee assessment days.
  • On boarding – working with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Acting as a point of contact for successful candidates up until their start date.
  • Arranging new joiner inductions.
  • General Recruitment administration, including the management of invoices, management of agency terms of business etc.
  • Supporting the firm's diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Evaluating and recommending process improvements to ensure efficiency, and provision of a first class recruitment service to the business and an excellent candidate experience.
  • Assisting with special projects, such as PSL review and employer branding refresh, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Working closely with and supporting the wider HR team as needed.

About you

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate;

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within a HR or Recruitment function.
  • Excellent level of IT literacy, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • An understanding of the importance of excellent candidate experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding client service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
